Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to proof and bake bakery goods following specific product handling instructions
- ability to move about non-hard surfaces and perform physical tasks including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, pushing, and stooping
- ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds frequently and heavier objects with assistance
- willingness to work in varying temperature environments such as freezers and ovens
- ability to follow food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- excellent communication skills for answering member questions and taking orders
- reliable and consistent attendance
- ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- commitment to teamwork and club policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answers questions and recommends bakery items
- answers member calls and takes special orders
- proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and other equipment
- uses bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, cakes, and others as needed
- unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts as per production chart recommendations
- decorates special order or case products
- rotates and stores bakery products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments
- checks for out-of-date products and follows salvage and stale product procedures
- generates labels and price tickets for bakery goods
- cleans and sanitizes bakery equipment and food surfaces
- operates bakery equipment using proper methods in adherence to safety policies
- maintains all club policies and procedures
- performs other duties as assigned including working in other departments if needed
- maintains regular, predictable attendance
