Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to occasionally lift and move heavy and/or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance
- Ability to stand and move about on non-hard surfaces for most of the time
- Willingness to work in an indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers
- Willingness to be frequently exposed to cleaning agents
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information
- Use bakery production charts to guide production and display needs
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production charts
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- Check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies
- Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
- Operate bakery equipment using proper work methods in line with safety policies
- Maintain all club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
