Job Requirements
- Must be available 2 to 3 or 4 days a week including weekends from 2pm to 10pm
- ability to follow bakery product handling procedures and safety guidelines
- capable of moving and lifting objects up to 30 pounds frequently
- able to work in temperature extremes such as freezers, ovens, and coolers
- willingness to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- capacity to work as a team member with a friendly and positive attitude
- reliable and punctual with predictable attendance
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and other equipment
- use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- unpack bakery goods from freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production charts
- decorate special order or case product
- rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product procedures
- generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks
- clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces in the bakery
- operate bakery equipment using proper work methods in accordance with safety policies
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
