Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Physically able to lift 10 to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and bend for up to 8 hours per day
- Willingness to learn new bakery skills and operate bakery equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in bakery or food service is a plus for specialized roles
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
- Willingness to take pride in work and maintain high-quality standards
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
- Multitask between daily production and customer service
- Monitor stock levels in backroom, display cases, and tables
- Stock and rotate products following FIFO method and check expiration dates
- Take orders for events and holidays with attention to special details
- Learn to make specialized bakery products such as fruit tarts, eclairs, and cannoli
- Safely use box cutters, knives, cash registers, espresso machines, ovens, and mixers
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and company policies
- Protect safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers and report safety-related incidents immediately
- Prepare and decorate cakes, cupcakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order bakery items
- Assemble, fill, and finish bakery items following standard procedures
- Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences
- Build, ice, and decorate cakes to meet business demand
