Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- ability to move about non hard surfaces and perform occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, pushing and stooping
- frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds
- ability to lift and move heavy or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance
- ability to work in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers
- frequent exposure to cleaning agents
- regular, predictable full attendance
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred
- knowledge of bakery products preferred
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items
- answer member calls and take special orders
- proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling instructions using ovens and other equipment
- use bakery production charts as a guide for production and display needs
- package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed
- unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations
- decorate special order or case products
- rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards
- check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies
- generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price check functions as necessary
- clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- operate bakery equipment using proper work methods according to safety policies
- maintain all club policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- maintain regular, predictable full attendance
