Job Requirements
- Must be 16-17 years old
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and product labels
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively to customers and team members
- Ability to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions
- Willingness to perform physical tasks involving standing, walking, and kneeling
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or bakery experience is a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend product labels and instructions
- Good communication skills for customer interaction
- Basic PC and Outlook skills are advantageous
- Retail management certificate is a plus
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service in the bakery department
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean, fill, and rotate bakery shelving and display cases
- Hose down bakery floors with soap and water to maintain cleanliness
- Work with the Baker to determine items that need baking or decorating
- Maintain accurate product labeling and pricing
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
