Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
- Ability to read and comprehend product information and instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills in customer service
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
- Capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery
- Basic PC/Outlook skills preferred
- Retail Management Certificate preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and product labels
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic writing and correspondence abilities
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
- Basic PC and Outlook skills preferred
- Retail Management Certificate is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous service to bakery customers
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders
- Clean shelving and display cases in the bakery area
- Fill and rotate self-serve displays both in front of the store and near the bakery
- Work with the Baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated
- Hose down floors and clean the department to maintain cleanliness
- Lift and move bakery products and materials as required
