Job Requirements

- have a High school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have an outgoing and friendly attitude
- possess good communication skills
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- operate bakery tools and equipment
- stand for long periods
- lift and transfer bakery products up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety and health regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
- be capable of operating bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- stand for up to 3 hours continuously within an 8-hour shift
- be able to lift and transfer bakery items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- adhere to safety, health, and weight regulations while maintaining a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
