Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
  • be dependable and reliable
  • be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have friendly and positive customer interaction skills
  • have good communication skills
  • be able to take direction and work in a team
  • perform general housekeeping duties
  • be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • be physically able to stand for extended periods and handle items up to 40 lbs
  • maintain a food handlers permit
  • adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • possess outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers
  • have good communication skills and be able to take direction and work as part of a team
  • perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • maintain a food handlers permit while adhering to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations

Job Duties

  • assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
  • answer phones and take special orders
