Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
- be dependable and reliable
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have friendly and positive customer interaction skills
- have good communication skills
- be able to take direction and work in a team
- perform general housekeeping duties
- be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
- be physically able to stand for extended periods and handle items up to 40 lbs
- maintain a food handlers permit
- adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers
- have good communication skills and be able to take direction and work as part of a team
- perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
- maintain a food handlers permit while adhering to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
- answer phones and take special orders
