Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs
- ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- strong communication skills
- outgoing and friendly disposition
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- adherence to safety and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- operate bakery tools and equipment safely
- adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery equipment and tools safely
- participate in team environment and adhere to safety and health regulations
