Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery department
  • Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle weights up to 40 lbs with specified transfers
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Show outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
  • Ability to take direction and participate collaboratively
  • Capability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks related to bakery operations
  • Hold and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • Stock, fill, face, and verify pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • Receive, inspect, and log bakery products ensuring shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment and tools including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
  • Handle special orders and answer customer phones
