Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery department
- Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle weights up to 40 lbs with specified transfers
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Show outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
- Ability to take direction and participate collaboratively
- Capability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks related to bakery operations
- Hold and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and verify pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log bakery products ensuring shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment and tools including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Handle special orders and answer customer phones
