Job Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation including night, weekends and holidays
- ability to push and pull approximately 100 lbs of product on rack
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to conduct visual inspections and follow recipes and production guides accurately
- ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment with manual dexterity
- maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers
- ability to reach overhead and stand, walk and move rapidly for extended periods
- ability to bend, stoop, balance, crouch, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, perform repetitive movements and reach frequently
- handle bakery ingredients safely
- perform basic math including add, subtract, divide and multiply
- perform duties with mental alertness around potential hazards
- respond to audible timers on baking equipment
- work around hot equipment and products
- follow safety and sanitation procedures and department policies
- wear hats, hairnets, gloves and personal protective equipment as required
- check labels and packaging of all manufactured products
- communicate effectively in speech and writing
- work in a team oriented, customer service environment
- operate kitchen equipment efficiently
- demonstrate knowledge of product content, perishability, safety and sanitation procedures and government regulations
- must be 18 years of age or older
- food handlers certification per state laws

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior bakery experience is beneficial
- ability to operate bakery equipment

Job Duties
- Seek opportunities to welcome, engage, serve and thank customers
- produce bakery products for retail stores
- operate and clean equipment and work area
- package all fresh products following packaging and handling procedures
- ensure quality of goods by following code
- mix icing or other toppings by scaling and measuring ingredients
- dump icing or other toppings into large storage containers
- set-up cakes by taking liner off, putting icing between layers of items
- ice cakes by combining icing, bordering, placing decorations
- package cakes by placing in box
- label bakery items by inputting data into DiGi machine and placing labels
- display products on shelves using FIFO rotation
- take orders by phone and in person
- personalize cakes by writing desired customer words
- face merchandise
- maintain enthusiastic customer service atmosphere
- engage in suggestive selling
- assist customers with inquiries on special orders and products
- ensure quality by following code dating and legal regulations
- maintain inventory and production sheets
- produce breads and rolls by mixing recipes and operating ovens
- clean work area and equipment
- produce croissants by folding, proofing and baking
- open and close bakery according to procedures
- perform other duties as assigned or needed
