Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner whether in the bakery or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- Reviews the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Reviews orders for the day
- Takes customer orders at the bakery counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures
- Ensures an adequate food supply is ready and follows a production list
- Anticipates product needs daily
- Prepares, finishes, and replenishes product as necessary
- Pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking
- Checks in product and may review invoices
- Runs department registers and handles payments
- Removes trash timely
- Maintains personal hygiene and dress
- Adheres to company policies
- Reports to work on time
