Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess good communication skills
- Be able to follow directions and work within a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
- Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Able to lift and transfer trays up to 40 lbs from various heights and distances
- Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain or obtain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools safely
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Valid Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain
Job Duties
- Prepare and package baked goods such as cookies, bread, and muffins
- Assist the Bakery Manager with baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising bakery items
- Provide high levels of customer service and handle special orders
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products
- Inspect and log received shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Follow all safety, health, and food handling regulations
