Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in a team
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitizing duties
- able to operate bakery equipment
- able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously per shift
- able to transfer trays and items up to specified weights and heights
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handler's permit
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- good communication skills and ability to participate in a team environment
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- ability to stand for extended periods and transfer items as required
- food handler's permit or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the department
