Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically from 7 to 64 inches for up to 10 hours
- transfer items up to 40 lbs vertically or horizontally for distances up to 36 feet without mechanical assistance
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness and safety in the bakery area including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery department
