Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- have the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate dependability and reliability
- maintain a positive and friendly attitude
- have good communication skills
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- operate bakery equipment and tools
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hours per shift
- be able to transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have the ability to stand for extended periods and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in bakery department
