Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Clear vision with or without correction
- Color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
- Willingness to work in a store environment with exposure to flour dust, noise, cleaning chemicals, electrical shock and temperature extremes
- Ability to maintain punctuality and report to work as scheduled
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service exhibiting caring, concern and patience
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- Assist customers by escorting to products, securing items, loading/unloading, passing along suggestions
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Review daily orders and take customer orders at bakery counter
- Work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean work areas
- Ensure adequate food supply is ready and follow production list
- Anticipate product needs daily
- Prepare, finish and replenish products
- Pull product from cooler/freezer for baking
- Check in product, put it away and review invoices
- Run department registers and handle payments where applicable
- Remove trash timely
- Maintain adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and report to work on time
