Job Requirements
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of related work experience
- Ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Visual clarity at distances between 20 inches and 20 feet with or without correction
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Capability to follow written and verbal instructions
- High standards of personal hygiene and dress
- Availability to work scheduled hours punctually
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions

- Adherence to hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness
- Reviews orders for the day
- Takes customer orders at the bakery counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and maintains a clean work area
- Ensures an adequate food supply is ready and follows production list
- Anticipates product needs daily
- Prepares, finishes, and replenishes products
- Pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking
- Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices
- Runs department registers and processes payments, makes change
- Removes trash timely
- Maintains department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
- Washes dishes as necessary
- Orders product and supplies as required
- Prices products
- Delivers orders
- Assists in other store areas as needed
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
