Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- must be able to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner in any part of the store
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them personally
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy products, noting customer requests and enhancing shopping experience
- reviews food status and appearance for freshness
- reviews daily orders and prepares product accordingly
- takes customer orders at bakery counter
- works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
- practices proper sanitation and maintains a clean work area
- ensures adequate food supply and follows production list
- anticipates daily product needs
- prepares, finishes and replenishes bakery products
- pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking
- checks in and stores products
- operates department registers and handles payments
- removes trash timely
- adheres to hygiene, dress codes and company policies
- reports to work on time and when scheduled
- washes dishes as necessary
- orders products and supplies
- prices products as needed
- delivers orders
- assists in other store areas as required
- performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
