Job Requirements
- must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- must meet visual requirements including clarity of vision at distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet, color vision, depth perception, field of vision
- must be able to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- possess ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
Job Duties
- provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, passing along customer suggestions
- reviews status and appearance of food for freshness
- reviews orders for the day
- takes customer orders at the bakery counter
- works with co-workers as a team
- understands and practices proper sanitation procedures
- ensures food supply is ready and develops or follows a production list
- anticipates product needs daily
- prepares, finishes, and replenishes products
- pulls product from cooler/freezer for baking
- checks in product, puts product away, reviews invoices
- runs department registers and handles payments
- removes trash timely
- adheres to company policies and hygiene guidelines
- reports to work on schedule
