Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to perform medium physical work requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Visual clarity at distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet, including color vision and depth perception
- Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to follow dress and personal hygiene policies
- Willingness to report to work on time
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Review status and appearance of food for freshness
- Review orders for the day
- Take customer orders at the bakery counter
- Work with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean work area
- Ensure adequate food supply is ready and follow production list
- Anticipate product needs daily
- Prepare, finish, and replenish products as necessary
- Pull products from cooler/freezer for baking
- Check in products, put product away, and review invoices
- Run department registers and handle payments where applicable
- Remove trash timely
- Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work on time
