Job Requirements
- Must be aged 16-17
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively to customers and team members
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
- Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification required
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading and comprehension skills
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions
- Physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Basic PC and Outlook skills preferred
- Retail Management Certificate is a plus
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to bakery department customers
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean shelving, display cases, and self-serve bakery displays
- Fill and rotate bakery product displays regularly
- Work with the Baker to identify items that need baking or decoration
- Maintain cleanliness by hosing floors and cleaning bakery department
- Follow food safety standards and procedures
