Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or relevant combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have excellent customer service and communication skills
- able to operate bakery equipment safely
- physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
- maintain a Food Handler's permit
- comply with safety, health, and weight and measure regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing, friendly behavior with positive attitude and good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- understanding of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
- ability to stand up to 3 hours continuously for up to 8 hours per shift
- able to lift bakery trays and products weighing up to 40 lbs
- adherence to food safety and health regulations with a current Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery equipment and assist customers with special orders
- adhere to all safety, health, and food handler regulations
