Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- have flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have good communication skills
- be able to operate bakery equipment
- maintain food handlers permit
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8 hour shift
- be able to lift and transfer bakery trays and items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- maintain food safety standards and a food handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping tasks in the department
