Job Requirements

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
be dependable and reliable
able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays
have good communication skills
demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
perform housekeeping and sanitation
able to operate bakery tools and equipment
able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical loads up to 40 lbs
maintain food handlers permit and comply with health regulations

Job Qualifications

be at least 18 years of age

possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
demonstrate good communication skills
be able to answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
able to operate bakery equipment
able to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
maintain a food handlers permit

Job Duties

assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
maintain compliance with safety, health, and food handling regulations
