Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
  • be dependable and reliable
  • able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays
  • have good communication skills
  • demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
  • perform housekeeping and sanitation
  • able to operate bakery tools and equipment
  • able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical loads up to 40 lbs
  • maintain food handlers permit and comply with health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
  • able to operate bakery equipment
  • able to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks

  • maintain a food handlers permit

Job Duties

  • assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
  • maintain compliance with safety, health, and food handling regulations
