Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- be available for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior
- possess good communication skills
- be able to work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping
- able to operate bakery equipment and use scales
- able to stand for up to 8 hours with physical lifting requirements
- adhere to all safety and health regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- capable of answering phones and taking special orders
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring trays and items safely
- adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintaining a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure proper preparation, packaging, and presentation of bakery items
- maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation and discarding outdated bakery products
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
