Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- dependable and reliable
- ability to work flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays
- good communication skills
- ability to take direction
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work area
- ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- ability to transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs safely
- adherence to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain food handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
- positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- ability to participate in team environment
- food handlers permit
Job Duties
- Prepare and package baked goods
- assist Bakery Manager with baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising
- provide high-level customer service and maintain cleanliness in bakery area
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery equipment and work areas
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- keep bakery area free of spills and hazardous debris
