Job Requirements
- Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Visual acuity with or without correction
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Willingness to adhere to company guidelines on personal hygiene and dress
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to follow detailed but simple written or verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with sanitation and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Learn and use customers' names when possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
- Review the status and freshness of food products
- Review daily bakery orders
- Take customer orders at the bakery counter
- Work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area
- Ensure adequate food supply by preparing and replenishing products
- Pull product from cooler/freezer for baking
- Check in and put away product shipments
- Operate bakery registers and handle transactions
- Remove trash timely
- Adhere to personal hygiene, dress codes, and company policies
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
