Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or comparable combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- Outgoing friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Good communication skills and teamwork capability
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift items up to 40 lbs
- Food handlers permit and adherence to safety and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives scales wrappers compactors garbage disposals pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involving lifting and moving trays and items
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing baking packaging pricing and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared packaged and presented
- Maintain clean safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves floors and removing hazardous debris
- Stock fill face and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive inspect and log products for accuracy of shipment temperature and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
