Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable and able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of work areas
- Operate and use bakery equipment effectively
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours
- Able to transfer items up to 40 lbs from 5" to 36" for distances up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handler's permit

- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Knowledge of weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Ability to stand for extended periods and physically handle trays and items as required
- Adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- Prepare and package baked goods such as cookies, bread, and muffins
- Assist Bakery Manager in baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising
- Provide high level of customer service in the bakery department
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products
- Examine rotate products and discard outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
