Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to perform housekeeping duties and maintain sanitation
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 3 hours, 8 hours per shift
- Ability to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically and horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintaining a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Be able to operate bakery equipment and accurately weigh and label products
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit and adhere to safety and health regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment including shelves, floors, and work surfaces
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while checking product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department
