Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to take direction and work in a team
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Have knowledge of weight measures to weigh and label products correctly
- Be able to stand for extended periods
- Physically capable of lifting and transferring trays and items up to specified weights
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Demonstrate dependability and reliability with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Have knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Be capable of transferring trays up to 5 lbs vertically and items up to 40 lbs both vertically and horizontally without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service while ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
