Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
  • Vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours
  • Vertically and horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs for distances up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Maintain valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
  • Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Be capable of answering phones and handling customer special orders
  • Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations while maintaining a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and work surfaces
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while inspecting product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitary duties in the bakery department
