Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
Be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
Have good communication skills
Be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
Vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours
Vertically and horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs for distances up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Be capable of answering phones and handling customer special orders
Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations while maintaining a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and work surfaces
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while inspecting product rotation and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitary duties in the bakery department
