Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent
Be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical tasks such as transferring trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain the Food Handler’s permit
Possess good communication skills
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
Be able to operate bakery equipment safely

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Be able to answer phones and take special orders
Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintain a Food Handler’s permit and adhere to safety and health regulations

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure baked goods are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating baked products and discarding spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log incoming bakery products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Operate bakery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
