Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent
- Be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical tasks such as transferring trays up to 5 lbs and items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain the Food Handler’s permit
- Possess good communication skills
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Be able to operate bakery equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Maintain a Food Handler’s permit and adhere to safety and health regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure baked goods are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the bakery area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating baked products and discarding spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming bakery products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Operate bakery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
