Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- perform cleaning and sanitizing duties in the bakery department
- operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours for a total of 8 hours per shift
- able to transfer trays and bakery items of specified weights for extended periods
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing debris
- stock, fill, face, ensure pricing accuracy, and rotate bakery products while discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations while maintaining a Food Handler's permit
