Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 and maximum age of 17
- Ability to read and write in Spanish or English
- Ability to understand product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags
- Capability to lift 25 to 60 pounds
- Good communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Ability to apply common sense to follow written and oral instructions
- Availability to work in a fast-paced grocery store environment
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading and writing skills in Spanish and/or English
- Ability to comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Basic PC/Outlook skills preferred
- Retail management certificate is a plus
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service in the bakery department
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean and maintain bakery shelving, display cases, and self-serve displays
- Help the baker determine items to be baked or decorated
- Clean bakery floors and maintain overall department cleanliness
- Rotate bakery products to ensure freshness
- Support daily bakery operations under the supervision of the Bakery Manager
