Job Requirements
- Must be aged 16 to 17 years
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required
- Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 45 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to read and write Spanish and English
- Capability to comprehend simple instructions and product information
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write Spanish and English
- Ability to read and comprehend product labels, instructions, shelf tags, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Capability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic PC and Outlook skills are a plus
- Possession of a Retail Management Certificate is desirable
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to bakery customers
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean shelves, display cases, and self-serve bakery displays
- Fill and rotate bakery products on displays
- Work collaboratively with bakery staff to determine baking and decorating needs
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery department including floor washing
- Follow food safety and handling procedures including possessing a Food Handler Card
