Job Requirements
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to read and write in English and Spanish
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and correspondence
Job Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read product labels and pricing codes
- Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic PC and Outlook skills (preferred)
- Retail management certificate (preferred)
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service in the bakery department
- Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders
- Clean and maintain bakery shelving and display cases
- Fill and rotate self-serve bakery displays
- Collaborate with the baker on baking and decorating needs
- Hose down and clean bakery floors to maintain cleanliness
- Follow food safety and handling procedures
