- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to file, post, and mail materials
- Ability to copy data from one record to another
- Ability to interview to obtain basic information
- Ability to guide people and provide basic direction

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, performing other tasks to enhance shopping experience
- Answers telephone promptly and takes product orders
- Takes customer orders at bakery counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Checks orders for the day and sets up a timeline and production schedule
- Decorates bakery items in a timely manner
- Keeps current on new designs and trends
- Ensures department standards are met
- Checks cake orders for details and indicates supply needs
- Orders supplies for decorating area and checks off the order
- Delivers product and sets up wedding cakes onsite
- Communicates with bakery manager regarding displays, ads and special needs
- Checks product dates and pulls cases for work
- Develops bakery orders for bakers daily
- Tracks daily retail production and identifies tasks to be completed
- Operates as a lead worker instructing and reviewing work of others
- Participates in employee cross training
- Practices proper sanitation procedures
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work on time
