Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to guide people and provide basic direction
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Visual acuity including color vision and depth perception
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner in all store areas
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, and loading/unloading heavy items
- Answer the telephone promptly and take product orders
- Take customer orders at the bakery counter
- Work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Check orders daily and set up a timeline and production schedule
- Decorate bakery items in a timely manner
- Keep current on new designs and trends
- Ensure department standards are met
- Check cake orders for details and indicate supply needs
- Order supplies for the decorating area and verify orders
- Deliver and set up wedding cakes offsite
- Communicate daily with the bakery manager regarding displays and special needs
- Check product dates and prepare cases for work
- Develop bakery orders for bakers
- Track daily production and identify tasks
- Operate as a lead worker, instructing and reviewing work of part-time employees
- Participate in employee cross training
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain work area cleanliness
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work on time
- Wrap products as necessary
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other related duties and special projects
