Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to meet visual requirements including close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a store environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to file, post, mail materials, and copy data
- Ability to interview and guide people to obtain basic information and provide direction
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the department or elsewhere in the store
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and performing other helpful tasks
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking product orders
- Take customer orders at Bakery counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Check orders for the day and set up production schedule
- Decorate bakery items in a timely manner
- Keep current on new designs and trends
- Ensure department standards are met
- Check cake orders for details, indicate supply needs
- Order and verify supplies for decorating area
- Deliver products and set up wedding cakes on-site
- Communicate daily with bakery manager on displays, ads, special needs
- Check product dates, pull cases for work, list items to fill or replace
- Develop bakery orders for bakers daily
- Track daily retail production and identify tasks to be completed
- Operate as a lead worker instructing and reviewing work of part-time employees
- Participate in employee cross training
- Practice proper sanitation and ensure clean work area
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
- Wrap products as necessary
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
