Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy products, enhancing shopping experience
- answers the telephone promptly and takes product orders
- takes customer orders at bakery counter
- works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- checks daily orders and sets up timelines and production schedules
- decorates bakery items in a timely manner
- keeps current on new designs and trends
- ensures department standards are met
- checks cake orders for details and supply needs
- orders and checks supplies for decorating area
- delivers and sets up wedding cakes on site
- communicates daily with bakery manager regarding displays, ads and special needs
- checks product dates, pulls cases for work and lists items to fill or replace
- develops bakery orders for bakers daily
- tracks retail production and identifies tasks to be completed
- operates as a lead worker instructing and reviewing part-time employees
- participates in employee cross training
- practices proper sanitation and maintains clean work area
- adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- reports to work on time
- wraps products as necessary
- assists in other store areas as needed
- performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
