Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bakery or foodservice preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 60 pounds
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and production instructions precisely
  • Compliance with health department sanitation guidelines
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively deal with guests and personnel
  • Strong understanding of baking and pastry production
  • Knowledge of foodservice operations
  • Training and knowledge of bakery equipment and procedures including ovens, mixers, and slicing machinery

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional guest service including greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns
  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to produce high-quality pastry and bakery items
  • Maintain cleanliness in baker prep areas and ensure all sanitation standards are met
  • Oversee inventory on sales floor and storage areas to ensure product availability
  • Assist guests with special orders and product inquiries
  • Maintain food safety logs and adhere to quality standards
  • Support bakery associates with daily responsibilities and maintain department organization
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the bakery team
  • Commit to regular and timely attendance
