Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in full bakery operations and procedures or equivalent experience
- Health department training required
- Ability to calculate ingredient percentages and ratios
- Ability to hear, speak, and understand verbal communication
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and documents
- Ability to fill out forms and compose reports
- Knowledge and familiarity with baking methods and safety considerations
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in refrigerated and high temperature environments
- Ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance
- Ability to tolerate dust, chemical fumes, and food allergens
- Ability to respond to emergencies quickly
- Completion of baker assessment testing required

Job Qualifications

- Ability to fill out forms and write reports
- Thorough knowledge of baking methods, procedures, safety, and health considerations.
Job Duties
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and observe company dress regulations
- Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise and verify items against vendor invoices
- Rotate bakery ingredients and merchandise according to store policy and product code dates
- Observe scheduled operating hours as assigned by Bakery team leader
- Control utility use and practice sound conservation
- Maintain housekeeping and regular cleaning programs complying with health regulations
- Check refrigeration equipment performance at least once per shift
- Report maintenance or equipment problems to department manager
- Prepare dough and baking mixtures following company recipes and procedures
- Pan frozen products and round up bread
- Mix, ice sweet rolls, sweet breads, and cookies, and add toppings
- Load and unload ovens, know proper baking temperatures and duration
- Operate mixer, run Moline sheeter, and scale cakes and cupcakes
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control of ingredients and supplies
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy
- Record invoices accurately and place signed invoices securely
- Monitor product sales to optimize production and minimize unsold bakery products
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and packaging requirements
- Perform additional assigned work-related duties
- Maintain good communication within the department and organization
- Assist in training associates and coworkers
- Notify department manager of personnel situations or policy violations
- Greet customers when encountered
- Observe security standards and report abnormal behavior
- Complete required training including Axonify
- Comply with company compliance initiatives
- Use required safety equipment
- Follow safety rules.
