Job Duties
- Prepare bakery products according to bakery manager's directions, production guide, and established production schedule
- maintain product rotation to reduce shrink
- inspect and maintain bakery department and products during baking and preparation, ensuring quality and sanitation by FDA and local health codes
- assist customers, suggest bakery products, and establish relationships for repeat business
- control costs by implementing portion control, accurate pricing, and signage
- follow safety work standards and report any hazards to bakery manager and/or store director
- follow FIFO rotation system, cover, label, and date products, ensuring adherence to BFLA standards of quality and presentation
- assist in receiving, breaking down, and storing bakery loads, collaborating effectively with the team
