Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • three to six months of related bakery experience
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • good vision including close and color vision
  • ability to work under FDA and local health codes
  • willingness to work collaboratively in a team
  • positive "can-do" attitude
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares bakery products according to Bakery Manager's directions and production schedule
  • maintains product rotation to reduce shrink
  • inspects and maintains Bakery Department products ensuring quality and sanitation by FDA and local health codes
  • assists customers and suggests bakery products to establish relationships for repeat business
  • controls costs by implementing portion control, accurate pricing, and signage
  • follows safety work standards and reports hazards
  • follows FIFO rotation system, covers, labels, and dates products
  • assists in receiving, breaking down, and storing Bakery loads
  • collaborates effectively with the team
