Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 60 lb boxes occasionally
- must exert 25-60 lbs of force frequently and 10-20 lbs of force constantly while moving and handling materials
- dexterous use of both hands
- ability to stand and move about various workstations
- must be able to lift, carry, push and pull items
- ability to use knives and other sharp instruments safely
- medium work requiring good vision, hearing, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling and ability to work on occasionally slippery floors
- compliance with safety guidelines and company policies
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in bakery or deli department preferred but not required
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- good communication skills
- basic knowledge of food safety and handling practices
Job Duties
- providing exceptional service to all clientele and sharing knowledge of bakery deli goods
- maintaining, cleaning, and keeping proper signage in the bakery deli department
- assisting with cleaning, filling display tables, and wrapping product
- rotating and pulling merchandise
- following all safety guidelines and reporting any missing or non-functional safety equipment
- complying with all company policies including dress code and wearing name tag
- completing all company training as required for the bakery deli department
