Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and handle objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- Basic phone etiquette for taking orders or messages
- Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension
- Willingness to adhere to food safety standards
- Commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and helpful demeanor
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a bakery or retail food environment preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and baking procedures accurately
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to safely operate commercial baking equipment
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in workspace
Job Duties
- Bakes off pastry case items such as muffins, croissants, scones according to set times
- Makes a variety of parfaits, dips, and other bakery specific items while following written recipes
- Is comfortable using commercial baking equipment such as ovens, knives, bread slicers
- Stocks and rotates bakery merchandise as directed
- Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
- Assists customers with orders placed
- Maintains clean and organized work area free of hazards in accordance with food safety best practice
- Provides exceptional customer service
- Keeps a positive and helpful attitude during length of shift
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
