Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow detailed product handling and safety instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments including freezers and ovens
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with members and team
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred
- Knowledge of bakery products preferred
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods by following product handling information using ovens and other equipment
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production charts
- Maintain cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Answer member questions and recommend bakery items
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, pies, and cakes
- Decorate special orders or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety and freshness policies
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and check for out-of-date products daily
- Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks
- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces
- Operate bakery equipment using proper safety methods
- Maintain club policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned including working in other departments as needed
- Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance
